Kevin Parsons, Town of Mountain City Tennessee Mayor

After thoughtful consideration, I will seek a second term as Mayor. Election day is Saturday, March 26, 2011. It has been both my honour and privilege to have assumed the responsibility of Mayor for the Town of Mountain City for the past four years. With the support of my wife Ann and the understanding from family and friends, I have committed myself to the Town of Mountain City in an inclusive, transparent and consistent manner. The Town, and our 3,000+ residents, have been and will remain my singular purpose for the next four years. I have a strong belief in Mountain City, and our citizens, and through my passion and compassion will continue to demonstrate the leadership and resolve that will be required to manage current issues while addressing the many opportunities the Town will realize in the future. A safe municipality where the realities of economic prosperity are fostered and an inviting network of social, cultural and recreational opportunities for all our citizens. I have demonstrated with results a keen understanding of the dynamics involved in a maintaining a personal relationship with state and federal officials. I have consistently developed positive relationships with other municipalities in the region with proof in recently being elected to serve as Vice-Chairman of a Nine County Board. This constructive approach to relationship building has paid dividends over the past four years to the tune of $5,000,000. My decision to seek re-election to the position of Mayor is based on my personal commitment that I will continue to accept the responsibility with all the time and energy I have demonstrated over the past four years. The continuity of responsible governance is important as we work together to further enhance the "Quality of Life" in our community through vision, partnership and results. Regards, Kevin Parsons
